Cinderellas at the Ball

All semester, Corrie and I took ballroom dance lessons together for a couple hours on Thursday evenings. We learned dances like the waltz, rumba, samba, Viennese waltz, quickstep, cha-cha, and more. To end the semester, the Ballroom-Latin Dance Society held a ball in the Golf Hotel on North Street. Corrie and I bought dance tickets, got all dressed up, and went together to the ball. First, we accidentally went to the wrong venue, thinking that the ball was at the Old Course Hotel on the St. Andrews golf course, but then we called a friend and got directions to the correct hotel. Even though we weren't stellar dancers (Corrie is more experienced and better than I!), we had a lot of fun dancing with each other and occasionally dancing with other partners. The best part was getting all dressed up and spending the evening together in a fancy hotel. We were Cinderellas for a night!
